Driveway pressure washing cleaning through pressure washing is an important maintenance task to keep your concrete surfaces in good condition. Over time, driveways accumulate dirt, oil stains, leaves, mold, and mildew which can damage the pavement if left untreated.
The pressure washing process uses a high-pressure water spray to dislodge dirt, debris, and contaminants from your driveway surfaces. A pressure washer machine mixes water with air at high pressure, up to 4000 PSI, and sprays it through a wand or nozzle. Specialized driveway washing nozzles spread the spray in a wide fan pattern to efficiently and thoroughly cover the surface.
As the pressure spray hits your driveway, it lifts away accumulated dirt and contaminants while also taking off a thin layer of the pavement's coating or sealant. This allows the driveway to "breathe" again and re-exposes the fresh pavement underneath. Removing built-up dirt and oils is important because they can penetrate the sealant coating and cause damage over time, leading to cracks, potholes, and crumbling pavement.
Please Note: Some stains are never going to be 100% invisible.

• For a heavily used residential driveway pressure washing or a commercial concrete cleaning, pressure washing 3 to 4 times per year is recommended. More traffic means more contaminants building up that need to be removed regularly.
• After each washing, we will reapply the chlorine algaecide to keep mold and mildew from returning quickly. The product will continue to work for a few weeks or months, depending on the brand.
• Pay close attention to your driveway after rainy or damp periods. If you notice mold or mildew growth returning, it's time for another washing and treatment.
• Harsh winter climates may require an early springtime wash to remove salt and chemical residue left behind by de-icing products. This is important to prevent corrosion and pavement damage.
• Over time, as your driveway ages, you may need to wash and treat it more often. The protective sealant will gradually degrade, allowing contaminants to more easily penetrate the pavement.
• If you notice your driveway developing cracks, pitting, or potholes, increasing the frequency of washing and reapplying the algaecide may help slow further degradation. However, seal coating or repaving may be required at that point.
